Purge 2, “Entourage” Movie Get Tax Breaks

The California Film Commission have selected the winners of its $100 million allocation lottery which allows various TV and film productions to receive tax credits.

Fourteen films and seventeen TV productions have been conditionally approved to receive credits.

The biggest surprise on the list is the previously unannounced “The Purge 2,” a sequel to Blumhouse Productions’ high-concept Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey thriller that Universal is set to release this Friday in U.S. theaters.

Shot for very cheap, reviews so far for the film have been mixed with some quite enjoying it, while others seem less enamoured.

Also making the list is the long awaited “Entourage” movie, the Robert Pattinson hunts Saddam Hussein thriller “Mission: Blacklist,” and cable shows like “Teen Wolf,” “Justified,” Major Crimes” and “Rizzoli and Isles”.
