“Puff the Magic Dragon” Becomes A Film

Fox Animation has announced plans for a hybrid live action/animated feature based on the Peter, Paul and Mary’s 1963 folk song “Puff the Magic Dragon”.

The story follows an ageless dragon who befriends a shy child and takes him to the land of Honalee.

“Trolls” helmer Mike Mitchell will direct the project which Safehouse’s Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold (“King Arthur: Legend of the Sword”) will produce. Safehouse has also secured the rights to the song.
