Prometheus Sequel Gets “Alien” Title

Ridley Scott has revealed the name for the upcoming “Prometheus” sequel and it’s definitely unexpected.

Speaking with HeyUGuys for the UK press for “The Martian,” the site asked him about this week’s talk of the filmmaker having planned out several “Prometheus” sequels which will eventually tie back in to the “Alien” franchise.

In a surprising revelation, Scott makes it clear the film already has a new title – “Alien: Paradise Lost”.

The title comes from Milton’s famed poem and Scott says that while it sounds intellectual and there is some similarity to bigger elements of the work, that’s where the comparison stops.

Filming on the “Prometheus” follow-up begins in February.
