Production has officially begun on the upcoming Han Solo movie according to the film’s co-director Chris Miller. Miller tweeted the news this morning, and also revealed the film’s shooting name will be “Red Cup”.
Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan penned the film which deals with how a young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley.
Alongside Ehrenreich, the cast includes Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke. Miller and Phil Lord helm the project which is currently targeting a May 25th 2018 release.
