In April, Netflix handed out a renewal order for its series adaptation of Gerard Way’s acclaimed comic “The Umbrella Academy”.
The renewal came a little over a month after the series debuted its first season on the service which proved very popular, the series outperforming the first season of “Stranger Things”.
Now, several social media postings have confirmed that production has gotten underway on the second season with the cast being photographed celebrating the first table read.
Over the weekend, the show’s official social media account posted a behind-the-scenes video, with further photos from Way himself also going up confirming they’re all back – including Ben (Justin Min).
The first season saw all five characters jumping through time and now it seems they’ll spend at least some portion of the ten-episode season witnessing their childhood. No premiere date has yet been set.
