Rumored for months, now it is confirmed – Fox’s “Prison Break” limited series revival is officially a go.
Creator/executive producer Paul Scheuring is currently penning the first episode and a bible for the series. When it’s done, Fox’s Gary Newman expects the project to get a straight-to-series order.
Actors Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell are both expected back for the ten-episode limited series which picks up several years after the end of the series.
The revival will largely ignore the straight-to-video finale ‘The Final Break’ but will apparently provide a logical explanation to why the characters are alive and answer some lingering questions left by the series.
Scheduling of course will be the interesting question as both Miller and Purcell are set to be series regulars on The CW’s event series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” as well as continuing their recurring roles on “The Flash”.
