Disney’s thirst for live-action fairy tales shows no signs of quitting as the studio has now closed a deal for a film about Prince Charming.
Matt Fogel penned the script which the studio has picked up and is said to be a “revisionist take on the fairy tales”.
Unlike the heroines of their films though which are all distinct, ‘Prince Charming’ effectively refers to the stock male lead character in several of their princess movies including “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,” “Sleeping Beauty” and “Cinderella” – with all three of those in recent years having had live-action adaptations.
However, The Guardian as discovered that the film will not be about said Prince, but rather his brother and the film itself will be a comedy.
David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Tripp Vinson will produce.
