“Preacher” S2 Set For A June Premiere

AMC has announced that the second season of its comic adaptation “Preacher” is set to premiere Monday, June 19th. Running for thirteen episodes, up from the ten of the debut season, the first photos from the new episodes are also out and can be seen below.

Six new faces have joined the series for the new season – Noah Taylor (“Game of Thrones”), Pip Torrens (“The Crown”), Julie Ann Emery (“Fargo”) Malcolm Barrett (“War on Everyone”), Ronald Guttman (“Homeland”), and Justin Prentice (“13 Reasons Why”). Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun and Graham McTavish all return as series regulars.

The first season effectively served as a prequel to the original comic series, meaning the episodes of the new season will effectively pick up directly from the comic series’ first issue.

A panel for the series is scheduled to take place at SXSW this Saturday with executive producer Seth Rogen, Sam Catlin and series creator Garth Ennis in attendance.
