One of the most well-received casting rumors of recent months has been reports that Chris Pratt could take on the role of Indiana Jones in a reboot of the franchise. Then last week came a report that Steven Spielberg hopes to direct the project.
Speaking with MTV News during the Oscars red carpet, Pratt wouldn’t say if he’s under consideration but is very happy with the idea of it being a possibility:
“It’s all nothing until it’s something and so far it’s not something….I don’t think it’s overwhelming to contemplate….It’d be cool. No one’s called me. (There’s) A lot of talk about it. The pressure would come just because it’s such a great franchise you wouldn’t want to get it wrong, so for me it would have to be perfect to do it. We’ll see, like I said it’s nothing until it’s something.”
As previously indicated, the project is still in such early stages there’s no real story yet in place let alone a script.
