“Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston has confirmed on Twitter that he will be playing the Rangers’ mentor Zordon in the upcoming “Power Rangers” reboot at Saban Films.
The story follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. In the series, Zordon was a floating head in a green tube of light.
Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, Becky G, and Ludi Lin play the kids while Elizabeth Banks stars as the villain Rita Repulsa. Dean Israelite helms the film which was shot in Vancouver and is currently targeting a March 24th 2017 release.
