“Polar,” “Godzilla,” “Girl” Set Filming Dates

A new report at Omega Underground has spilled the beans on when three major upcoming films are slated to go into production.

A filming schedule of February 5th – March 30th has been announced for Jonas Akerlund’s film “Polar” based on the Dark Horse Comics assassin title. Mads Mikkelsen stars in the film which will shoot in Toronto and premiere exclusively on Netflix in early 2019.

Adam Wingard’s “Godzilla vs. Kong,” the culmination of a four film joined monster franchise, will reportedly be shot mostly in Atlanta – utilising the same studios that next year’s “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” used when it filmed earlier this year. No word on when the new one will shoot.

Finally, filming on Sony’s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” sequel/mini-reboot, “The Girl In The Spider’s Web,” has set a January 15th start of filming in both Berlin and Stockholm. Fede Alvarez directs the new chapter which includes Claire Foy replacing Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander, Sverrir Gudnason replacing Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist, along with Sylvia Hoeks and Cameron Britton in supporting roles. ‘Web’ is slated to open December 19th next year.
