Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes have signed a first-look producing deal reports Variety
The deal gives the studio first option on future projects of the production house made famous for its rash of recent horror remakes like “Friday the 13th” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”.
The relationship kicks off with two projects, firstly the already announced thriller “The Butcherhouse Chronicles” from “The Grudge” writer Stephen Susco which is described as “The Breakfast Club in a haunted house”.
The other is the Howard Franklin-scripted thriller “Property of the State” about a young white-collar criminal whose attempt to straighten out his life is imperiled by an obsessive and menacing parole officer.
