Pirates Breaks Global Records

It may not have beaten “Spider-Man 3” on the domestic front, but in international waters the “Pirates” truly stuck it up Peter Parker’s booty.

The third “Pirates” landed $245 million overseas in 102 markets in its first six days through Monday – $13 million more than the recent six-day record set by “Spider-Man 3.”

Combined with a domestic total of $156 million since Thursday night, the six-day worldwide cume for “At World’s End” hit $401 million as of Monday – beating Spidey’s three-week-old worldwide mark by $19 million.

“Pirates” has now sold 63 million tickets worldwide.
