Norwegian helmer Joachim Ronning, who co-directed “Kon Tiki” and the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” has been set as director of the action adventure “Methuselah” for Warner Bros. Pictures.
Tom Cruise is attached to star in the title role of the legendary 1,000-year-old man from the Bible who has used his time on the planet to develop an unparalleled set of survival skills.
Ronning replaces the previously attached James Watkins (“The Woman in Black”). Arash Amel and Zach Dean previously worked on the script with new writers coming onboard soon to polish it for Ronning and Cruise.
“Harry Potter” film series producer David Heyman will produce.
