Though he signed on three months back, “Star Trek” actor Chris Pine has now finally spoken about his role as Steve Trevor in the standalone “Wonder Woman” movie at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Speaking with French magazine Premiere, Pine seemed quite excited to be joining the DC cinematic universe in this key role opposite Gal Gadot as the superhero of the title:
“I do not really know what I’m allowed to tell you. I’m super excited, of course. Gal Gadot is super talented, Patty Jenkins will direct, and we will shoot on film. What excites me most is to work on a movie with a female superhero, a woman in the lead role. I am teamed with this intelligent, beautiful, strong woman to defeat the villains & save humanity.”
Sounds like “Wonder Woman” is continuing the tradition the DC films have taken up of shooting on film as opposed to digital, joining “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad” who’ve also stuck with film. Shooting is slated to begin shortly ahead of a June 2017 release.
