After delivering a smash hit with “Wonder Woman,” director Patty Jenkins and star Chris Pine will re-team on the new TNT drama series “One Day She’ll Darken.”
Having received a six-episode straight-to-series order by the network, Pine will star in all six while Jenkins is attached to direct the pilot and potentially additional episodes.
The story is inspired by the autobiography of Fauna Hodel, a baby given away to a black restroom attendant in a Nevada casino in 1949. As an adult she looks into her past, and the trail leads to an infamous Hollywood gynaecologist involved in the infamous ‘Black Dahlia’ murder.
Pine will play Jay Singletary, a former Marine-turned-hack reporter and paparazzo who was disgraced years earlier and now sees a glimmer of redemption.
Sam Sheridan will pen the series and will executive produce alongside Jenkins, Pine and Michael Sugar. Filming begins this Fall.
