Filmmaker Martin Scorsese is in the midst of filming his mob drama “The Irishman” for Netflix, a big-budget project that sees the return of Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci and Scorsese for the first time together since 1995’s “Casino”.
This weekend, photos have emerged of the trio shooting scenes in New York, and fans of the director’s work will go giddy over the shots – especially of the seemingly out of retirement Pesci.
Al Pacino and Harvey Keitel also star in the film about Frank Sheeran, a mob hitman allegedly involved in the death Jimmy Hoffa. The project will notably use digital effects to de-age De Niro as it charts Sheeran’s life over a long period.
Filming is expected to continue through December ahead of a release on Netflix sometime in late 2018. For heaps more photos, check out The Daily Mail
