CBS All Access have set the voice cast of the upcoming animated series “Star Trek: Lower Decks” which serves as a comedy focusing on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships.
The series was developed by “Rick and Morty” head writer Mike McMahan and has already been given a two-season order at CBS All Access. Set on a California class starship dubbed the U.S.S. Cerritos, Starfleet characters that comprise the ship’s bridge crew include: Captain Carol Freeman, voiced by Dawnn Lewis; Commander Jack Ransom, voiced by Jerry O’Connell; Lieutenant Shaxs, voiced by Fred Tatasciore; Doctor T’Ana, voiced by Gillian Vigman; and
“The Boys” star Jack Quaid plays Ensign Brad Boimler, a total stickler who does everything by the book. Tawny Newsome is the no-nonsense Ensign Beckett Mariner, Noël Wells is the fangirl-ish Ensign Tendi and Eugene Cordero is engineering genius Ensign Rutherford with those four being the show’s main characters.
The series is produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions.
