Photo: “The Mummy” Reboot Moves To Africa

Following an extended filming stint in London, production on “The Mummy” reboot has moved to Namibia where four of they key actors in the film – Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson and Courtney B. Vance – have posed for a photo.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

Alex Kurtzman helms the new film from a script by Jon Spaihts. It’s the first in a proposed Universal Monster cinematic universe initiative with several other films in development.
