With production getting into full swing on the five-episode “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover between The CW’s DC series, Warner Bros. Pictures have released a first look at Brandon Routh in full costume as an aged Superman in the mini-series.
Routh’s look is inspired by the “Kingdom Come” version of the hero and will apparently have no connection to Routh’s previous appearance as Superman in the film “Superman Returns”. Routh is one of three Superman actors reprising the role in the event, the other being Tyler Hoechlin from “Supergirl” and Tom Welling from “Smallville”.
In addition, former “Supernatural” star Osric Chau has joined the crossover event in the role of Ryan Choi/The Atom. Routh plays Ray Palmer/The Atom in “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”.
The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover will run from December 8th-10th before taking a break and returning with a two-part finale on January 14th.
