Following his film winning the Best Picture Oscar this year, “Green Book” director Peter Farrelly has now joined the talent onboard Jeffrey Katzenberg’s short form service Quibi.
Farrelly is developing” The Now,” a series about a guy who is about to commit suicide when he finds out from his mother that his brother just committed suicide and his dad had committed suicide in the past as well.
As a result, the man has to learn to live life for today, in the now. Farrelly will write the new project alongside Pete Jones and Steve Leff. Anonymous Content, who produces “13 Reasons Why,” is also producing this.
The show is one of dozens in the works at Quibi which launches April 2020.
