Director Vadim Perelman (“House of Sand and Fog”) has officially dropped out of the adaptation of the Ayn Rand literary classic “Atlas Shrugged” reports Cinematical.
Perelman signed on to the project last September which was still moving forward at last report in April. Despite word to the contrary by attached star Angelina Jolie, Perelman was attached and talked about the film in several interviews. His departure is apparently entirely of his own volition.
What this means for objectivism fans is unsure. Rand’s book many claim is unadaptable, and whomever takes on the project faces an extreme challenge from all sides.
