British comedians Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (“Shaun of the Dead,” “Hot Fuzz”) have formed the film and TV production banner Stolen Picture.
The first effort will be the horror comedy “Slaughterhouse Rulez” which Frost and Pegg will executive produce and will be distributed by Sony Pictures.
The action is set an elite boarding school where boys and girls who have been groomed for power and greatness are about to meet their match.
Don Wallace, is a wide-eyed new boy from a modest background forced to navigate the school’s arcane rules, aggressively enforced levels of status presided by sadistic sixth formers.
This ordered world is about to be shaken when a controversial frack site on prize school woodland causes seismic tremors, a mysterious sinkhole and an unspeakable horror to he unleashed. Soon a new pecking order will be established as pupils, teachers and the school matron become locked in a bloody battle for survival.
Crispian Mills directs from a script he co-wrote with Henry Fitzherbert, while Charlotte Walls will produce. Stolen Picture will look for film and television projects geared towards a global audience with plans for a variety of scripted entertainment in line with Pegg and Frost’s brand.
