Pearce, Minogue Set For “Flammable Children”

They starred together twenty years ago on the soap “Neighbours,” now actor Guy Pearce, actress/singer Kylie Minogue and actress Radha Mitchell are all set to re-team for “Priscilla” director Stephan Elliott’s new Australian coming of age comedy “Flammable Children”.

The story is set in 1975 in the Sydney beach suburb of Dee Why (where this writer lives). As parents catch up with the sexual revolution which has washed up on Aussie beaches, a fourteen year old boy deals with a crush on the girl-next-door while the dead body of a 200-ton whale is washed ashore and puts the sleepy suburb in the media spotlight.

Production on the film begins in October ahead of a release in 2017.
