“Peaky Blinders” Could Get Two More Seasons

Steven Knight, creator of the Cillian Murphy-led period Birmingham-set crime drama “Peaky Blinders,” has said that next year’s fifth season is not the last.

Deadline reports that talks are happening with the BBC for a sixth and seventh season, but a deal has not been finalized. Knight says the cast are all keen to continue, and adds that he’s been approached about a spinoff ballet version for the Rambert dance company.

The show’s fourth season was its highest-rated ever and BBC Two’s most-watched drama of 2017. It is also up for Drama Series at the BAFTA TV Awards this week. Netflix holds U.S. rights.
