Payne Confirms “Wilson” Adaptation

“The Descendants” helmer Alexander Payne says that once he wraps his next flick “Nebraska”, he’s moving onto a film adaptation of Dan Clowes’ comic book “Wilson” says Empire.

Clowes (“Ghost World”) is adapting the script which follows a middle-aged misanthrope who’s left floundering after the death of his father and tries to reconnect with his ex-wife and the teenager daughter he’s never known.

Payne will shoot the project around Oakland, California. Payne also says “Nebraska”, about an aging alcoholic dad, will likely undergo a title change.
