Paulson Won’t Feature In New “Horror Story”

Sarah Paulson will reportedly not appear in a significant role in the upcoming ninth season of FX anthology series “American Horror Story”.

Titled “American Horror Story: 1984,” this marks the second major regular who won’t be back for the new season as fellow series mainstay Evan Peters previously said he will not be in the new season either. Paulson could cameo, but in any case it will be her least involvement in a season to date.

Paulson is currently filming the FX series “Mrs. America” and will continue working with Murphy on the upcoming Netflix series “Ratched” which has received a two-season commitment.

Paulson has scored five Emmy nominations for her various roles on the show and won the Emmy for best actress in a limited series for her role in the first season of “American Crime Story” which was also executive produced Ryan Murphy.

“American Horror Story: 1984” is set to premiere on September 18th.
