It looks like Hugh Jackman’s third solo “Wolverine” film won’t just be the end of the line for Jackman in his role, but also potentially his co-star Sir Patrick Stewart.
Speaking with ITV this week, the famed thesp says that his turn as Professor Charles Xavier in the James Mangold-helmed film is quite possibly an end after seventeen years in the role.
“I would imagine this is probably the end of this franchise for me. But the thing about science fiction and fantasy is that you can never, ever say it’s the end, it’s over… [It’ll be] a very different Charles Xavier… nothing like the Charles Xavier you’ve seen in the past.”
Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez also star in the film which has yet to get an official title and is targeting a March 3rd 2017 release.
