Park Chan-wook (“Oldboy,” “Stoker”) is looking to helm an adaptation of Project Itoh’s 2007 novel “Genocidal Organ” for The Sean Daniel Company says Twitchfilm.
Set in a time when Sarajevo was obliterated by a homemade nuclear device, the story reflects a world inundated with genocide. An American named John Paul is responsible for all of this and an intelligence agent named Clavis Shepherd treks across the wasteland of the world to find him.
Sean Daniel (“Everybody Wants Some,” “Ben-Hur”) will produce. Manglobe was previous developing an anime adaptation to be written and directed by Shuko Murase, but that project was shelved indefinitely after the company went bankrupt.
