Paramount has scored the film rights to Blake Masters’ comic “Insurrection” which Masters is attached to adapt into a feature says Heat Vision.
Labelled a sci-fi “Spartacus”, the story is set in a future where corporations are more powerful than governments and command their own armies.
The armies consist of clones who, for decades, have been treated like a sub-class. That all changes when one man stands up and leads a revolution that has vast repercussions.
Michael De Luca, Matt Tolmach and Ross Richie will produce. Masters created the crime drama “Brotherhood” and scripted Universal’s upcoming “2 Guns”.
