Paramount Pictures and Brad Pitt’s Plan B company have acquired film rights to Paul Pope’s upcoming graphic novel “Battling Boy” reports Variety.
The gritty tale centers on the son of a god or superhero who comes down from the top of a mountain at his father’s behest in order to rid a giant city of monsters.
A writer is currently being sought to adapt the work which will hit stores in Spring 2010. Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner will produce.
Pope is best known for his “Heavy Liquid” and “Batman: Year 100” comicbook series.
