Paramount Pictures has picked up the film rights to Daniel LuVisi’s coffee table book “Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter” reports Heat Vision.
The art book ties in with an upcoming graphic novel and online site. The story centers on Gabriel, a bounty hunter who was created by an arms manufacturer to be a soldier in an elite army known as the ‘Paladins’.
He’s soon framed, imprisoned and manages to escape to find himself in the world of New Amerika. As he tries to learn who set him up, he deals with the various colourful inhabitants of this place including genetically enhanced shark-men, ninjas and burlesque girls.
LuVisi and Scott Aversano will produce. Paramount beat out both Warner Bros. and Summit in a bidding war for the property.
