Jason Fuchs, the writer of “Ice Age: Continental Drift” and the upcoming Peter Pan origin story “Pan”, is in negotiations to write the screenplay for the standalone “Wonder Woman” movie at Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment.
It’s a late attachment considering Michelle MacLaren (“Breaking Bad,” “Game of Thrones”) is already set as director, Gal Gadot is locked to play the Amazonian warrior princess, and a July 17th 2017 release date is in place.
The project is considered one of the most important instalments of Warners’ proposed DC cinematic universe as the iconic character has never had a live-action film before and is the biggest of the DC heroes behind only Batman and Superman.
Fuchs will reportedly work with MacLaren on the drafts.
