Australian actress Teresa Palmer (“Point Break,” “Warm Bodies”) has scored the lead role in “Lights Out” for New Line Cinema and Atomic Monster following their previous collaboration on last year’s “Annabelle”.
David Sandberg will make his feature film directorial debut on the feature which is based on the short horror film of the same name. Shooting on the project begins on Monday.
The story follows a young boy and his estranged sister who are confronted by an evil entity that only appears when the lights are out. Eric Heisserer penned the screenplay and will produce alongside James Wan and Lawrence Grey.
