Studiocanal has confirmed that production on a sequel to “Paddington” is set to kick off in October in the U.K.
Budgeted at $55 million and grossing nearly $270 million worldwide, the first film wasn’t just a box-office hit but a surprise smash with critics highly lauding it. The second is said to have a budget on or about equal size.
Ben Whishaw, Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins will reprise their roles in the film which will once again be directed by Paul King, and co-written by King and Simon Farnaby. The film is currently targeting a November 24th 2017 release in Blighty.
