David Oyelowo (“Selma,” “Gringo”) is set to join the cast of the “Peter Rabbit” sequel at Sony Pictures. The first film grossed $350 million worldwide and this follow-up is set to arrive February 7th 2020.
Oyelowo joins Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson, who are returning from the first film, as is James Corden in the voice of the mischievous Peter Rabbit.
The story likely follows the adventures of Peter as he continues to stir up trouble with his fellow furry friends, but plot specifics are under wraps. Oyelowo is said to have a live-action on-screen role as opposed to just a voice role.
Will Gluck is back directing, is also producing with Zareh Nalbandian, and co-wrote the script with Patrick Burleigh.
