Miranda Otto (“Homeland,” “The Lord of the Rings”) and Stephanie Sigman (“Spectre”) have joined the cast of the “Annabelle” sequel for New Line Cinema.
Gary Dauberman script follows a dollmaker and his disfigured recluse wife (Otto) who, twenty years after the tragic death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home.
Soon, however, the nun and the girls become the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle. David Sandberg is directing this spinoff to “The Conjuring” franchise while James Wan and Peter Safran are producing.
The project will shoot next month in Los Angeles.
