Otto Bathurst To Helm Shorter “Halo” TV Series

Showtime Talk Their Halo Tv Series Progress

Otto Bathurst, who most recently directed last year’s “Robin Hood” film, will replace Rupert Wyatt as executive producer of the upcoming Showtime TV series based on the “HALO” video game franchise.

Bathurst, who also directed the first episode of “Black Mirror,” will direct multiple episodes of the series which now has a slightly shorter nine-episode order – reduced from ten. Wyatt dropped out of the project due to scheduling reasons.

Kyle Killen serves as showrunner on the series which will be based on the original 2001 game which is set in the 26th century and involves a conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. Filming will begin later this year.
