Oprah Winfrey is set to host “Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland,” a Q&A special with Michael Jackson’s accusers Wade Robson and James Safechuck, that will air on HBO and OWN immediately following the airing of the two-part documentary “Leaving Neverland”.
The controversial documentary made headlines and shocked even stern critics when it was screened at the Sundance Film Festival last month. Dan Reed helmed the project which follows the two men who recount their traumatic experiences with pop star Jackson at his famed Neverland ranch where they allege he sexually abused them as children.
The two parts will air this Sunday (March 3rd) and Monday (March 4th) with Oprah’s special to air at 10pm immediately following the second installment. Winfrey’s discussion with the duo, which will take place in front of an audience of sexual abuse survivors and those whose lives have been impacted by abuse, will also be made available as part of her ‘Oprah SuperSoul Conversations’ podcast.
The doco and the two men’s claims have been vigorously denied by members of Jackson’s family who have sought to block HBO from airing the documentary and are on a media campaign against it this week.
