One-Third Of Netflix Users Binge At Work

Second screening has become a big thing in recent years as people, having adapted to multi-tasking at all times, have gone beyond music and podcasts and are now fully watching TV shows and films whilst also at work at their occupation.

A survey conducted by Netflix with SurveyMonkey has revealed that 67% of Netflix users are watching when they’re not at home, 37% of subscribers are binge-watching at work, 30% watch Netflix while traveling, 27% binge watch while waiting in line, and 12% fired up the streaming service while in a public bathroom.

In an age of peak TV viewing, watching shows whilst at work is in many ways the only way to keep up with everything on. The survey included 37,056 responses from adult Netflix users in the United States, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, and Turkey.

Netflix releases the first season of “Marvel’s Punisher,” the Jim Carrey-led documentary “Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond,” and the potential awards candidate racial drama feature “Mudbound” all on the service today.
