Sony Pictures and “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy are teaming for the musical comedy “One Hit Wonders” reports Deadline.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz will play three singers who each scored a hit song in the 1990s before their careers went down the drain. They decide to team up and form a super group.
Beyonce and Andy Samberg will also star in the project with Samberg’s Lonely Island involved in generating music for the film. Paltrow will also make her debut as a producer on the film.
Murphy will direct, produce and co-write with Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. He plans this to be his next film once he wraps “The Normal Heart”.
