Walt Disney Animation Studios released a new trailer for its CG-animated feature “Moana,” a clip which premiered during NBC’s coverage of the Rio Olympic Games. The Ron Clements and John Musker-directed film is slated to open in cinemas November 23rd.
The story follows an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.
Together, they sail across the open ocean so Moana can find her own identity. Jemaine Clement, Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger and Alan Tudyk also lend their voices to the project.
