Dawn Olivieri (“House of Lies”) and Thomas Matthews (“The Newsroom”) have joined the cast of David O. Russell’s untitled project about the Abscam sting in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
The story follows a financial con artist (Christian Bale) and his mistress and partner-in-crime (Amy Adams) who were forced to work with an out-of-control federal agent (Bradley Cooper) to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters and politicians.
Olivieri will play Cooper’s girlfriend, while Matthews will play the son of the New Jersey mayor (Jeremy Renner). Louis C.K. also stars.
