Olivia Cooke Is A Tennis Spy In “Courting Danger”

“Bates Motel” and “Me, Earl and the Dying Girl” star Olivia Cooke is set to topline the Alice Marble biopic “Courting Danger” for Maven Pictures.

Set during the Second World War, Marble was a three-time tennis world champion who defied the wishes of her longtime coach and left the sport in order to become an Allied spy. She gathered intel on the Nazis that proved instrumental in the Nuremberg trials.

Derek Weissbein will adapt the screenplay from Dale Leatherman’s book. Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray will produce.
