Oliver Stone To Publish A Memoir In 2020

Oscar-winning “JFK” and “Platoon” filmmaker Oliver Stone has penned a currently untitled memoir focusing on his early years, including his time serving in Vietnam, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has acquired the work with plans to release it Fall 2020.

Stone, who has an acknowledged history of drugs and alcohol and has been married three times, says in a statement he is reassessing his life and decided that all memories are to be cherished “pleasant or not.” The book, therefore, will be a warts and all look.

Stone won an Academy award before he turned 35 and says the memoir will recount “overindulgences borne of youthful success”. Stone’s last directorial effort was 2016’s “Snowden”.
