Oldman & Elwes In Zemeckis’ Carol

Gary Oldman has joined the cast of “Beowulf” and “Polar Express” helmer Robert Zemeckis’ new 3D CG motion-capture adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol” reports Moviehole.

Oldman, like the film’s main star Jim Carrey, will play an assortment of different roles. Carrey is Ebenezer Scrooge and all three of the ghosts that haunt him, thus many guessing that Oldman will play Scrooge’s dead business partner Jacob Marley.

Finally actor Cary Elwes is said to be serving as Carrey’s stand-in on the project. The film is currently scheduled for a November 6th 2009 release.
