O’Connell To Lead Alexander McQueen Film

Jack O’Connell (“Unbroken,” “’71”) has been cast as the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen in an untitled biopic to be directed by Andrew Haigh (“Weekend,” “45 Years”) for Pathe.

The story will explore the creative process of McQueen in the months leading up to one of his greatest shows in 2009, providing an intimate portrait of the man behind the global brand.

Award-winning playwright Chris Urch adapted the script based on Andrew Wilson’s biography “Blood Beneath the Skin”. Damian Jones is producing and shooting is slated to begin in January with a late 2017 release targeted.
