Sydney-based P.R.O.M. (The People’s Republic of Movies), which achieved great success with “The Hateful Eight” launch and Q&A with director Quentin Tarantino earlier this year, returns for a second event that’s even bigger.
Hot from its Grand Jury Prize win at The Venice Film Festival and a full month before its theatrical release in Australia and the rest of the world, Tom Ford’s “Nocturnal Animals” is set to screen this coming Thursday October 13th at Sydney’s Randwick Ritz cinema.
Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon star in the film about a successful Los Angeles art-gallery owner’s idyllic life which is shaken by the arrival of a manuscript written by her ex-husband she has not seen in twenty years. The manuscript tells the shocking story of a teacher who finds a trip with his family turning into a living nightmare. As Susan reads the book, it forces her to examine her own past and confront some dark truths.
The event will also include a Q&A with Ford himself live by telecast from London where he’s premiering the film at the BFI London Film Festival. Tickets are on sale for $25 from RitzCinema.com.au.
