Noah Baumbach Unleashes “Flawed Dogs”

It has been confirmed that “Frances Ha” filmmaker Noah Baumbach and star Greta Gerwig are re-teaming on a DreamWorks animated film project.

The story is an adaptation of Berkeley Breathed’s “Flawed Dogs” book series, more specifically the novel “The Shocking Raid on Westminster” which forms the basis of much of the script.

The action follows a dachshund and show dog who is separated from his human owner by a jealous poodle. He soon leads a group of abandoned dogs to the Westminster Dog Show to reunite with his best friend and get back his title.

Baumbach co-scripted the third “Madagascar” film for Dreamworks. No word on what kind of schedule or release date we’ll see for this project.
