No Multiplayer On “Rise of the Tomb Raider”

The upcoming “Rise of the Tomb Raider” will be different from the 2013 “Tomb Raider” game franchise reboot in one key aspect – no multiplayer.

A preview for the game in the latest official Xbox magazine has confirmed that multiplayer was cut from the experience. This was reportedly done so the development team at Crystal Dynamics could “make the core campaign as entertaining as possible.”

The first game’s four multiplayer modes involved killing, nabbing points and medical supply stashes. The mode was criticised for not feeling like a “Tomb Raider” game and being more of a tacked on element compared to the game’s campaign mode.

“Rise of the Tomb Raider” will debut on Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 10th.
